 Transfiguration & Treats
It’s an unseasonably warm day on the Hogwarts grounds, and the weather isn’t the only thing out of the ordinary. The first unusual sign that students will notice is the sound of blasting pop music, a sound which grows louder farther down the path. Colorful streamers mark the way to a wide patch of grass near the lake.
Judging by the decor, one would have no idea that this was a transfiguration activity! Twinkling fairy lights, colorful streamers, and paper lanterns hang from the trees. Charmed unpoppable balloons litter the ground, and every surface is covered with confetti. At one end of the patch is a table filled with all sorts of unhealthy goodness… soda, crisps, cookies, and an assortment of wizard and no-maj candies.
The other end of the patch is populated by a throng of wooden dummies. There you’ll find Professor Carton singing and dancing along to the pop song playing, dressing the dummies in blindingly bright outfits to coordinate with his own neon pink robes and electric blue tie. “What’s up, homies?” He greets the students with a dramatic hand wave. “Come on and join the party!” |
