And yet she certainly found enough excuses to do so now - this event being one of those. They probably should have brought along Sia and Vasco too, the crew, but she hadn’t suggested it and she’d been a bit pleased when he hadn’t either.
While she never would have admitted to liking Logan’s company, even back then, it’s true she had enjoyed it as well. When they were both separated from Vasco, it was nice still having him to explore with and get into mischief together on the times they couldn’t find and include their Ravenclaw in common. And she clearly had enjoyed being around him enough that everyone seemed to notice too, considering the amount of rumors and questions she’d gotten from second year on. For a brief moment, she wondered if anyone had ever asked HIM about them too and what his answers would have been. “I didn’t mind bratty you, even though I thought I did. But i think I like nice you better. You’re far more complimentary.” She replied, a small giggle accompanying her words.
She watched the screen as well, but also busied herself with getting properly comfy so she could enjoy the movie when it started to get good. Which did include pulling the blanket over her legs and resting her hands on top of it, and also pulling her popcorn and the box of sweets she’d made closer as well, opening it up and situating it so it was easy for him to reach too if he wanted. She nodded at his question, her eyes still on the screen. “Yeah, like the plays with all the really old timey sounding monologues.” She tried to search her mind for examples, her eyes closing for a second to help her focus. “Like… Hamlet, or Macbeth or Romeo and Juliet.” She was pretty sure they’d briefly talked about at least one at some point in drama.
While the front of the box had looked amusing, she was entirely unimpressed with the characters so far. Though Vera would settle on horrified over restless. How could the mother leave the dog out in the cold? And what was this girl’s deal with the poor baby? “Why isn’t she picking him up? I don’t have a ton of experience with babies but I feel like she should be picking him up.” The girl’s brother was crying and she was … yelling at him? Vera would not be handing this ‘Sarah’ any sibling awards, that was for sure. And then as the girl started monologuing herself, talking about some goblin king or… whatever, the screen suddenly shifted into showing weird creatures with bulging eyes and she shifted back into her seat in surprise. “What were those?” Listen, she knew there were puppets in the movie. But she didn’t know they’d look like… that. Had he been asked if anyone had mentioned the obvious to him, he would certainly have said yes. Whether or not he would have spilled the tea on who had said things to him was up in the air. Then again, the odds were the same people had talked to both of them. Vasco was obvious, as were their respective younger sisters. There were others, of course. He hadn't given direct responses to them all, but there was no way he could slip past Bryony, Vesper, and Vasco without giving real answers.
An eyebrow rose when Vera stated that she didn't mind his bratty self, though quickly followed that up by making it clear that the nicer version of himself and the compliments were appreciated. "Well, if you didn't mind bratty me then..." He smirked, then swiped some of the sweets from the box she had set out (not that it was much of a bratty thing for him to do; he knew she had brought them to share). Chewing one of the sweets, he then grabbed hold of the blanket and nudged it toward him. Arguably another not-bratty thing to do, but the blond did purposefully nudge it more his way than he should have.
"Oh, yeah." All the plays from drama -- was it normal to have to think about extracurricular activities while watching a movie? Regardless, now things were starting to ring a bell, though, in complete honesty, he rarely understood the words Shakespeare wrote anyway. "Still too wordy. Better if they just get to the point." Because that typically meant sword fighting or dancing or someone dying or two people kis...
Thoughts were distracted by Vera's commentary, which Logan found absolutely hilarious. This Sarah character really was something, wasn't she? But nothing could have prepared him for the weird-looking creatures that were now jibber-jabbing with each other. The laughter continued. "Are those supposed to be the goblins?" Their appearance tickled him so much that he was on the verge of cry-laughing, which resulted in him almost missing out on the window being blown open and the owl fluttering about until that dude with the wild hair made his debut and started showing off his wicked crystal ball handling skills. "Merlin, you're right. That hairdo would not be a good look on me."
