Arden didn’t think that Aurora’s thoughts were wrong. When you started dating someone and wanted the relationship to be serious, she felt like the family HAD to come as a package deal. It was why Starr and Rudy’s relationship, at first, had been a little rocky. Rudy’s uppity family had to get used to Starr’s aloofness and overall…Starr-ness.
And Arden would need to find someone whose family didn’t mind her…Arden-ness.
Maybe Aurora would be a distraction, but Arden was hardly likely to not be distracted anyway. She could distract herself easily; she was not very focused. And so with a chuckle, she stood and offered her hand to Aurora so they could head to the library together.
