Phoebe responded to Sloane’s smile with a grin of her own. ”I love batman! Because of bats!” Phoebe was a fruit bat for Halloween, and she called her bed the Bat Cave. She felt like she’d make a good batman! She flapped her ‘cape’ for dramatic effect. “I am… um… I am… invent-ious!” That’s what Batman always said. She was pretty confident.

”I wish I was more like Shrek,” Phoebe said wistfully. He was so brave, like Sloane. Phoebe was a scaredy-bat and she was worried that she wasn’t growing out of it fast enough. Phoebe was SO pleased that Sloane let her put in the VHS tape, but she tried not to be smug. She was very excited to try out the muggle technology, though she knew Sloane could do it. She carefully (trying her best to not be clumsy) took the tape from her friend. ”I think it’s been rewound too.” But she checked just to make sure. Then she VERY CAREFULLY put the tape in the VHS player and pressed the button. ”Should we sit down? Is it time for Shrek now?” She looked at the screen to see if the movie was working.
