She had already finished her panini when Atlas arrived, very aware that he was running a little later than she was expecting him. Remy was impeccable with time-keeping, as ever. Always on a schedule, always had a thousand lists buzzing around her little head.
Her face lit up like a Christmas tree when she saw him, turning into a little chuckle at his comment. "No, sir. I'm officially a full time coffee enjoyer, not maker." Okay, okay... it was fun making coffee too, with the patterned froth on top which she had mastered. Remy stood up and grasped hold of him into a cheek-to-cheek smooshing hug. She didn't care if he wasn't up for the hug, because it felt like it had been a billion years since she had seen him, and Merlin's Beard, she had missed him so much.
"Hey." Remy freed him after only a short moment, because she wanted to look at that beautiful face of his. Being someone who, when it mattered, believe that five minutes early was already ten minutes late...Atlas was genuinely feeling like his skin crawling off his bones would be more comfortable than arriving late. Perhaps it was a good thing that his irritation with incompetent customers had him riled up enough to be distracted by that discomfort and instead he was channeling it all in to pestering Remy. Almost like the days before things got so complicated and the pair of them just chilling in front of the fireplace in the Gryffindor common room. Almost but also not even remotely close.
Speaking of close, Remy sure wasted no time in getting reacquainted. While he did make exceptions, Atlas remained a not so touchy feely kind of bloke and had naively not anticipated her performing such an act out here in such a public setting. It was probably the setting that had him more resistant than the gesture itself. Embarrassment creeping across his cheeks, his fingers sort of lightly reciprocated the hug by drumming themselves on the small of her back. "Uh...bummer...don't trust anyone else not to spit in my order."
And, honestly, if he were a barista he would be tempted to if someone like himself came in asking the most egregious of orders just to see if they could pull it off. The spite ran thick in his blood, you see.
"Hey yourself," Atlas chuckled, the air filling his lungs once again and even more so once he rolled his shoulders to loosen up again as his limbs returned to his sides and hands slipped into his pockets. "You're looking good." She always did though so maybe he should tell her something she didn't already know. "...and already mostly through your lunch I see."
