Instead she was admiring the oars and wondering how hard it would be to row a boat. Also...the craftsmen ship on the oars was kind of impressive when you thought about it. Shaping them out of a hunk of wood...like their wands. Could oars also be like...really really big wands?
Yes, long gone where the ghostly moans and spooky shadows she was certain she had seen earlier and in were the thoughts of oar sized wands and wands shaped with a paddle...at least for another couple of seconds until she heard the wailing of a familiar voice and she spun around. "Oh...oh no! Catch him!"
Or...maybe they could catch each other? Or...maybe they would both fall into the lake and get to swim with the merpeople and grindylows and maybe OH maybe Sir Batholomew Henry would show up?!
But, also, WOULD Logan even listen to her request? She was, after all, not his actual master... Teheheheheehehehehehe. Quote:

And to make his plan even better was the fact that Ezra was making his way down to the boathouse. Surely he would only enhance his stealth by entertaining the Hufflepuff instead of him. It was a perfect distraction.
But, of course, his foolproof plan did not consider the fact that Auntie Grace's son would call out to him and proceed to trip over himself. Everything next happened at lightning speed. He could hear Anna shouting to catch the younger Gryffindor. Regardless of the warning, the fifth year instinctively grabbed hold of Ezra to prevent him from face-planting onto the ground. Hiya, cuz.
Despite his efforts, the blond's own balance was thrown off by the momentum of the fourth year. Like a set of dominoes, one tumbling Gryffindor made the other follow suit. Seconds later Logan was on the ground, his back and his backside really feeling the impact of that fall. Even more so if Ezra happened to use him as a crash pad.
So much for making a great escape. Stumbling and tumbling into his cousin was not exactly the entrance he had planned. Ezra did appreciate Logan's attempt to catch him, but nevertheless he was unable to stop the fall completely, and he crashed onto the ground - er, well, more onto Logan than the ground. Still hurt, but he was probably a little better off than the older Gryffindor.
Thanks, cuz. "Ugh, sorry, mate," Ezra mumbled, moving to push himself off of Logan and to lay on his back for a few seconds. Whoa, was the world spinning, or was that just him?? If he were in a cartoon, he'd probably have stars spinning around his head right now.
Merlin, no wonder his mum always got after him about tying his shoes.
