She may look like your typical ditsy blonde but Allie had the bark and bravery of a Jack Russell when she needed to use it. She seldom felt she did however, only perhaps when she was feeling protective or if someone really rubbed her up the wrong way. The majority of the time she was that sweet, bubbly, daycare worker who kids seemed to adore. It would take a lot to intimidate this woman and unfortunately (even with the potential voice modulation) she’d likely be able to tell it was Matty simply from the body language. Better luck next time.

“I suppose if you are that starving I could maybe spare one she teased, offering out the brown paper bag that contained a couple of Danish’s for Matty to pick from. “Just know that I spent my hard earned wages on these.” The cheek kiss was met by a soft smile and a squeeze of the hand. “She’s quite small but don’t let that fool you. She WAS a Gryffindor after all and believe me you wouldn’t want to mess with those..” Allie laughed. It was true though, everyone assumed the Slytherins were the intimidating ones but the Gryffindors were the ones to truly watch and she could say that as a former Lion herself.

“You’ll have to come visit the Ministry one day and we can grab lunch in the cafeteria. It’s not half bad actually.” Not like what she assumed Muggle school dinners were like. They’d obviously been truly spoiled at Hogwarts with their cuisine. “The children are particularly loud today, I thought my eardrums were going to explode. But I adore my job, I just wish there might’ve been a little more progression, do you get what I mean?” She’d be kind of.. stuck. There was the idea that it would only be a temporary solution until she found something a little more relevant but that was for future her to decide. As for putting in a good word? “Unfortunately I haven’t met him, I’ve barely met anyone. We’re all kind of segregated into our departments.” At least she was seeing as her job was a little different to everyone else’s and was more of a service than an office based job.
