No, we were not going to discuss how doing the same things to friends was still a jerk move. The ones who knew him knew, you know? All this to say that he had rarely stopped by this place since Remy had left it which had meant he needed to figure out other means for lunches - which basically meant he was packing himself the bare minimum from home to pinch sickles and knuts wherever he could.
His shift had gone a bit longer than anticipated due to an indecisive customer and him just barely holding it together as he explained the differences between silver and copper bearings again, so it was with pure unfiltered relief that he smiled when he saw her. A smile that almost immediately turned into a smirk. "So...any inclination to hop behind the counter and prepare my usual?" he teased while leaning his shoulder against the wall beside her table. "For old time's sake, obviously."
The feeling of a hot coffee running down on a chilly day like today was perfection, but she did secretly think she could have made this one better than what it was. No offence to the current barista, of course. Remy missed working here but it was time to think of the future!! She had already finished her panini when Atlas arrived, very aware that he was running a little later than she was expecting him. Remy was impeccable with time-keeping, as ever. Always on a schedule, always had a thousand lists buzzing around her little head.
Her face lit up like a Christmas tree when she saw him, turning into a little chuckle at his comment. "
No, sir. I'm officially a full time coffee enjoyer, not maker." Okay, okay... it was fun making coffee too, with the patterned froth on top which she had mastered. Remy stood up and grasped hold of him into a cheek-to-cheek smooshing hug. She didn't care if he wasn't up for the hug, because it felt like it had been a billion years since she had seen him, and Merlin's Beard, she had missed him so much.
"
Hey." Remy freed him after only a short moment, because she wanted to look at that beautiful face of his.
