Eulalia rested her spare hand on the side of her face, looking woefully at her ice cream on the ground.

There was no salvaging that, was there?

She looked up at the older girl, forcing a smile. "Oh, I'm fine," she said, her tone of voice contradicting both her words and her smile. "Clumsy, I guess." Clumsy, distracted... and now hungry, since she'd only been given enough money for one round of ice cream. She heaved a big sigh and peered into her bowl. Maybe she could make do with the bits that hadn't fallen to the ground.
It was likely her reaction was more so well-honed from having younger siblings, but either way, she was definitely more focused on making sure the girl was alright than dwelling on the possibility she would have ended up covered in ice cream in public. The group across the seating area was definitely foremost in her mind as well, but things had gone about as well as they could have. Minus the fallen ice cream woefully melting on the ground.

She was more concerned there had been physical injury, but she’d nodded as the girl had responded to her question. “It can happen to anyone, really”, she said with a shrug, noticing her eyeing the ground. “Would you like some more? My treat.” She had enough to replace the lost ice cream. She thought. Worst case scenario, she’d have to wait til later to finish up her shopping.

This seemed more important than schoolbooks anyway.
