Today, it was necessary to gather food, and Milo did so by plucking items from the middle of the table - a roll, a banana, an apple, and so on - with the very tips of his fingers, and using a double-folded napkin to protect his skin. Rather than eat it or pile it onto a plate, however, Milo dropped it all into his otherwise empty schoolbag. Empty, so as to avoid contaminating his books, though his lessons had been somewhat neglected recently.
He had just been in the process of transferring a cluster of grapes into his schoolbag, when he'd caught sight of Tommy Chilwell performing a series of actions that spoke to him clearly as though via a Sonorus Charm. Milo closed his schoolbag and dropped the napkin on the table, and looked in Tommy's general direction, blinking incessantly. Given the look on his face, it wasn't a surprise that most of the Ravenclaws had opted not to sit near Tommy. Their chatter still reached him, still grated on his nerves, but it was enough in the background that when Milo spoke, Tommy heard it loud and clear. He looked up and gave a cursory glance around, making sure that it was definitely him the younger student was speaking to, and making sure that no one else was involved in the conversation in any way. Plenty of kids were a fan of eavesdropping, and he would be punching anyone he caught doing so.
Luckily (or, rather, unluckily, because it was a day where he was really looking for an excuse to punch someone) there wasn't anyone else nearby, and most people were too absorbed in their own lives to pay him any attention. Raising his glare to where Milo was standing, it lessened a bit and settled into a frown. Kid still kinda gave him the creeps - all that talk about 'those that have gone on' was weird, after all.
"I know," was the only response he gave, still clutching the torn up pieces of paper. He knew that burning things was better, but he was finding it harder and harder to burn any letters from Corbin or Lorelai nowadays.
It was a feeling he hated.
