It was only March, but Tommy was done with school already. It's not like he was going to do well in his exams, or use them for anything afterwards, and he was tired. If Lorelai hadn't insisted that he would be tutored at Stemp House if he dropped out, he would have done.
But being home-schooled sounded undeniably worse. At least he had some autonomy at school (which involved not attending most of his morning classes). But all the crap about these job interviews and stuff was getting to him, too, given that he had absolutely zero prospects. Even though he'd asked Corbin multiple times if he could have a job after, the man kept avoiding the question - the latest letter crumpled in his hand hadn't even said anything about after graduation, much to his annoyance.
Rubbing at his eyes, dark circles more present than ever, Tommy shoved his plate of lunch away from him and proceeded to tear the letter up.
