Margaret wasn't one to judge. She was hungry herself, and yet it was difficult to eat soup on the go. "Creamy tortellini soup, and chicken and dumpling," she said simply. The tortellini was a recent favorite. She and her brothers had discovered it was easier than most of their childhood favorites to throw together, and with a little magic, fresh soup was even faster than something from a can. "I was in the mood for something cozy, I guess." Nothing was cozier than soup from a thermos, except maybe soup next to a fire.
Her entire face lifted in amusement, but Mamie wasted no time in giving Cooper the requested hug. She wasn't sure she'd ever turn down a hug from him. "You shouldn't have to ask," she said, voice muffled slightly by the hug. Really. She would have come all the way to this park even without the promise of food, if only for a hug. Her brothers had grown out of being the hugging kind, which made friends who did hug all the more precious. ""s good to see you," she said, muttering again into his shoulder.
