If he could read minds, he would have told the Professor that he, too, had been baffled that the Sorting Hat had not placed him in Ravenclaw during his first year. He still believed that the Sorting Hat had made a mistake because, after all, it was an OLD hat.
In the back of his mind, there was a small voice that sounded suspiciously like his older brother telling him to stop and think clearly. But the professor's words were drowning out his inner voice of reason. Daniel averted their gaze by looking at the hand stretched out in front of him. “Ok. Sounds reasonable, I guess?" he questioned, and before he knew it, he had placed his wand in their hand.
The Hufflepuff took a step back and began to pace back and forth, trying to collect his scattered thoughts while scratching the back of his head.
