 Constant Vigilance! O_O AWAKE!
Though impeccably dressed as usual, Lisa was today employing a few tricks she had learned during her years playing Gobstones: hair safely bundled in a wrap, sleeves that reached just to her elbows, and sturdy clothes that had been charmed at stages of spinning, weaving, and sewing. She didn't even need an apron, so confident was the Magical Games and Sports department head in the durability of her outfit.
That didn't mean she hadn't donned an apron as soon as she arrived, however. Nearly seventy years on this earth had taught her that everything always went wrong. And having a backup method of clay deterrence was never a bad thing.
Okay, that last one she had learned in the last few months, but it was a useful thing to learn!
"Hello, team!" Lisa said, her tone almost as bright as the orange flowers on her scarf. "No formal course, Mr. Patterson, but I can get you started if you need some help getting the clay of it--er, the hang of it." She must have heard one too many puns from Charles, and it had begun rubbing off on her. She glanced around, to see if Patterson was the only one who needed help, or if any of the others did too. |
