Again, she really ought to have figured out what he was alluding to. However, when someone mentioned 'naughty' things, she tended to consider mischievous matters and despite herself was now imagining David leaving graffiti on the bench or loading his hands up with popcorn or some sort of messier snack food to throw at people. Both seemed entirely unlike him, so she could not imagine why he would even want to tease her on such matters. Not to mention how she would never condone such things. "But then wouldn't we miss out on the show?" she asked, the pieces clearly not falling into place since there was no rouge to her cheeks. "That is a good thing...considering we have very limited options," she laughed softly before scooting a little closer to him and resting her head upon his shoulder.
YOU COULD ONLY BUTTER HIM UP SO MUCH BEFORE HE MIGHT BLUSH. Which is deserved considering how many times he had made her blush from being a troll. So turnaround was fair play. David really did try to be somewhat direct there and it still flew over her head. As direct as he could be with a joke. You got to love it. It would be such a waste of popcorn when he could be tossing it at Delilah instead. Seemed like a much better use for it after he was full on the buttered popcorn.
"True but the hope would be that I would be making you feel so good you would stop caring about the show"
Hopefully, some small pieces were falling into place now and if not he was giving up since hope was lost and it was time to move on. Her resting her head on his shoulder was proof he wanted her to enjoy herself here. He never watched troll ballet either so he was kinda looking forward to it as well.
"We seemed to make the best of limited options don't you think"
He was definitely thinking about Atlantis right now.
