She had listened all the times she'd been told students couldn't do magic outside of Hogwarts, which meant her, now! "Wow," she said softly as the man explained all the qualities her wand would have. Non-verbal magic sounded super helpful for tracking down animals big and small. If she didn't have to speak to cast spells, the lizards (or other animals) wouldn't hear her and run away. Dueling...she wasn't so sure about. She'd have to ask Rosa and Dennis if dueling was any fun.

"I am supposed to get the new wand owner bundle, the one...the one with the fake leather holster," she said, reciting near-exactly what her mother had described. Faux leather, because it wasn't made of animals. She dug in her pocket for the sixteen galleons she knew she would need, which her parents had given her while she waited in line. They wanted her to do this on her own, since she was going to be going away to school soon.
