Mmm.

With his mother clearly appeased and leaving, Mandrake's attention turned fully to Ary as he watched him curiously as he chomped on a gummy bear still in his mouth from his first bite. They were even extra chewy when they got all cold on top of the treat. At the greeting, he gave a smile back and swallowed his bear. "Hi! What brings you to Diagon Alley today? Do you have older siblings going off to Hogwarts or just here to observe in anticipation for your turn?" Even if Aryan did not seem a big talker at school, that didn't generally stop Drake. He was used to his sister being on the quiet side as well, so perhaps those who let him put all the words out there was just what was familiar. "I can't wait until we're off to school. Have you been trying to figure out already what house you might be in? I'm hoping Slytherin or Hufflepuff so it's easier to get out to the grounds."

Another scoop of treat went into his mouth, giving the poor other boy a reprieve.
