Suresh's interest was very clear to her, which was why she'd been doing her best to stay away from him. Not because she had anything against him, but rather because he was sweet and kind and handsome and exactly the type of distraction she had been looking to avoid. The more they talked too, the more she started to panic a bit - particularly at his last comment, because the fact her insides were turning into such mush was feeling very - very dangerous. Which was when she realized too her arm was still through his, which she quickly extracted trying to seem as nonchalant as possible.
People always seemed to think immortality was king and yet... if you couldn't grant it for everyone you cared about, it sounded more painful than anything else to her. The ability to fast forward really would be nice wouldn't it? "That would be a tempting notion, but I think I wouldn't take it. It'd be too easy to get an accidental spoiler of your own future and I want to be surprised and excited about the things that happen in my life as they happen." Was that silly too? Perhaps. At his question of if they should move on, her inner panic was still full fledged and she could see this as her opportunity to steal away before she let this many occupy anymore of her mind and perhaps heart, though she'd never say it out loud than he already did. Tucking her hair nervously behind her ear, she gave what she hoped was an apologetic smile. "I would love too, but looking at this particular display reminded me I have a paper due Monday that I haven't even started on." She did have a paper on Monday, but it had been done for days. "I hate to do this, but ... I should run. I'm sorry to cut the day short."
