He was pretty impressed, honestly- this place was proof that you couldn't judge a book by just its cover. It looked creepy. And... old. And creepy. But it was pretty cool on the inside! Brandon wandered around, looking at everything. There were cauldron repair kits and wand repair kits, that Brandon couldn't use but was drawn to out of a need for independence. Replica goblets of fire, replica Resurrection Stone rings, real(???) but broken time turners. Omnioculars for watching sports. Spectrespecs- what were they for? Remembralls for when he needed to remember things. Sneakoscopes- he took one from the shelf... no, TWO. One for him and one as a Christmas present. As he turned to go pay, he bumped into a girl his age. He wasn't actually sure if she bumped into him or he bumped into her or who was in whose way, but he was happy to blame himself anyway. "...Sorry... didn't see you there." Please don't be mad at him for his mistake!
Creepy and old made a rather nice combination if you asked Dynah.
The creepy vibe was something her instincts were quick to creep up on and it made her think of a haunting melody she had recently taken up practicing on her violin. To her, it spoke of some sort of haunting with a layer of sadness just beneath the surface. Thinking about this made her eager to get back to the Castle to do a rendition of that piece.
The Universe, it seemed, had plans in delaying her because she was suddenly bumped into. This made Dy shuffle to the side without any control of her feet. “Don’t worry about it.” By this time she was clutching at the shelf before her to steady herself. Looking over at the source of the voice, she saw it was her fellow first year Huffleuff. “Oh, it’s you, Brandon. Hi! Excited because of those Sneakoscopes or something? Do they actually work? And did you notice any violin strings around?” |
