They could agree that 'madam' felt entirely off. It would make her feel quite more mature than she actually was and felt like the sort of honorific one used with someone who had already achieved their prima ballerina status - something that was still a bit out of reach for Delilah, though there was the possibility that she would be part of an elite ensemble for a ballet performance to be determined headlining at the Phoenix Theatre in the future. She had not uttered such possibilities yet for fear of jinxing her audition.
"It's a glide more so than a slide...but a slide is an excellent starting point," she encouraged with a little laugh as they went through the steps one last time. Turning towards him now, Delilah reached for his left hand and lefted it. "Place this hand on my back, between the shoulder blades." A waltz stance was a bit stiff for her liking seeing as she preferred the total body fluidity of ballet, but each form of dance was beautiful in its own way. "And take my hand with your other."
