The only emotion he felt on the matter was apologetic for overstepping and misreading the atmosphere between them. No one was perfect, after all, and perfection all so often could rob the world of colors not yet discovered. So, in lieu of any sort of verbal communication, the duellist used his striking blue eyes to convey a sense of sincerity. A quiet apology for forcing Noah to physically remove himself from a position where he felt discomfort - but otherwise he felt no need to draw attention to the moment. There was a quiet mutual understanding of what had just passed and thus his hand fell to his side and thumb hooked into his pocket.

"I know a James, unfortunately not the same one as you," he smiled, reflecting fondly on the tall hulking blonde that had been a client of his for some time now. "A Hogwarts student as well, though a couple years your senior I believe." He glanced down at Poppy, still entirely and completely asleep in his arms, and rocked her a bit. "She'll just have to stay on the ranch that day. As much as I do enjoy bending the rules now and then, exploitation of the service creature position is a line I certainly won't cross." This was all said in lightheartedness. A soft joke, if you will. "You'll only have myself to suffer on the day."

Again, another gentle joke.
