History and More: Aurora is the youngest child in a family of 10, the daughter of Henry Chae (Head Obliviator for MACUSA) and Lilith Chae (an renowned wizarding poet and songwriter). Both of her parents come from long lines of witches and wizards - her great grandfather was actually the Minister of the Lebanese Ministry of Magic for a brief period of time. Standards run high in the Chae household - you are expected to get good grades, go to university, and establish a stable career before settling down to have a family. No questions asked.

The family lived in Texas for many years, bouncing back and forth between Dallas, San Antonio and Austin. Henry was promoted to a Head Obliviator during Aurora's first year at school and relocated the family to Los Angeles to run the branch out on the West Coast.

Since all of her older siblings have gone on to have successful careers - her older brother Chadwick is a pro Quidditch player, and her sister Dolly is Charms Professor at Mahoutokoro, to name a few - Aurora feels pressure constantly to succeed and be the top of her class. She is not entirely sure what she wants to do just yet, but knows university is definitely in her future. Who knows, if she likes London, maybe she'll come here for university some day!

Personality:Aurora's ambitious personality has caused her to become quite callous at times to get what she wants, and humility is not one of her strong suits. Her sorting might seem like a mystery to some because of this, but she also loves learning and reading. Her inability to decide what she wants to do in life stems from her desire to learn anything and everything she can - except when it comes to Muggle Studies. That's just a waste of time.

That's not to say that Aurora doesn't care about other people. It takes her a while to really warm up to people, but when she does, she highly values her relationships. In fact, despite her tendency to push people out of the way of her goals, she is extremely self conscious about her looks and the perception people have of her. She makes up for her insecurities by dousing herself in perfume, makeup, and having flawless outfits and nails.
