That was something she could likewise relate to. She supposed it was every parent's dream that their child was happy and successful, though the definitions seemed to vary from parent to parent. Like currently, her mother's view of 'happy and successful' was Advika married and on her way to motherhood. While her dad just wanted to see her finding a job she loved as much as he loved his. "It's nice that even if they show it in different ways, both are still good at showing their pride." Not having to wonder if one was disappointing their parents or not was a relief. Another laugh and she gave a nod of agreement, it did certainly sound like bribery. "But... it worked didn't it?" She teased. She almost felt bad now for how they must have felt back then, but she'd be fine and they could all laugh about it now. As for fruit snacks, she giggled and reached for her bag and pulled out a couple packets to show him, before stashing them back. "I always have some on me." At the question, she had to give some serious consideration before answering. Was she closer to one parent or the other? Her head slowly shook, "I wouldn't say so. I think I'm close to both, the relationships are just different you know? When I need practical advice, mom is my go to - she's very insightful and not afraid to give me the truth. when I just need blind encouragement, that's when it's time for an afternoon with Dad." They were both her biggest champions, and she appreciated the invidiual ways they showed that.

For the time being, Advi had no plans of moving anywhere. She had gotten her dream internship here, at the site she was most familiar with, and her studies were still going well. She supposed just talkng about it at all made her the slightest bit homesick for Brazil and all the years she had spent there. One day she'd have the confidence to go back and still return here, but for now... a trip could wait. "I'm sure you're right. And it'll be the universe's timing to clue me in on that plan." For now, she could just choose to be happy with where her life was currently.

Which is exactly what she was going to do.

See, that was exactly what she meant. She grinned and gave a nod. "You know how there's the saying "There's two sides to a story"? I've actually heard it said there are three sides: Yours, mine and the truth. With everyone that relays a story, there's just a new version." The comparison to the memes and stickers between the first pictorial communications made her giggle, but also nod in agreement. He made a good point. "Do you think one day, generations down the road, will be looking at books of our texts strung together with just... meme after meme response and have an equally difficult time figuring us out?" The thought alone made her want to giggle more as she pictured a chain of 'elmo with fire' and the 'this is fine' response. At the question of moving on, she grinned at him and nodded again. "Let's do it!"
