She was so absorbed in that thought that she didn’t notice anybody else in the corridor until a voice called her name. She knew that voice instantly, even before she turned around and saw Summer rushing over. “Summer, hi!” she greeted enthusiastically, giggling at the jumping up and down.

Wow, someone was excited! And Desiree couldn’t blame her. It was exciting to run into each other, as it didn’t happen often. That was the downside of being in different houses, she supposed. “I’m good, just on my way to do some charms research,” she replied, gesturing toward her textbook. She had some biiiiig shoes to fill when it came to that subject! “What have you been up to? Feels like I haven’t seen you in forever!”
