Green-hazel eyes studied the sneakoscopes. “Maybe those are broken.” Pause. ”Highly doubtful.” That would be a terrible business move, and she was familiar with business stuff thanks to her dad and uncle ~~or so she liked to believe but Violeta really didn’t know much about business~~.

Her gaze returned to the boy. “It is weird.” She didn’t know how to shut it up though. Usually she’d toss one of her sandals to shut up her cousin Carlos whenever he sang the ancient-but-goodie I Will Always Love You. He was going to make her lose her hearing one day. Anyway, she figured that wouldn’t work here. “You could hide it in one of those.” She pointed at the Invisibility Cloaks. Did they have pockets?
