Holding his wand protectively in the one hand, and his sister's hand protectively in the other, Brandon listened and paid attention to the shopkeeper's every word. He smiled again, excited about healing and nonverbals and consistency. Consistency was his favorite... he couldn't stand when he expected something to happen and it didn't. He really hated it. Really. "Thank you for helping me," he said quietly as his big sister paid.
When he left the store, he was smiling. "You're quite welcome," Zeke said, smiling still as warmly as ever as he took the money paid by the girl who had accompanied the boy, and added the coins to the cash register. "Have a nice day. And good luck with that wand of yours." SPOILER!!: FearlessLeader19 Quote:

Right! That was hers all sorted then. Clutching her purchases, Dy’s attention could now be solely on Nads.
On her third try, the twin seemed to be doing differently. The GOOD kind of different. Dy held her breath as the wand was waved though there was a loud, excited squeal when the sunflower appeared. This was a happy sign! The sunflower, she meant. Dy gave Nads a thumbs up. Surely this was the wand that had chosen her sister? Smiling genially at his young customer, he dropped each of the coins into the cash register, counting them out in his head to double check all was in order. And it was. Excellent. He met the word of thanks with a, "You're very welcome," before also turning his attention back to the other girl as they resumed the search for the second wand. SPOILER!!: Holmesian Feline Quote:

She could definitely use some better luck in this wand choosing the wizard. She was two for two and she would rather not having any more negative excitement…or nothing at all.
The eleven year old braced herself as she reached for the next offered wand, nervous as her fingers wrapped around the smooth wood as she took it from its boxed home. It felt warm to her touch but not fire burning hot so Nadia suspected that it might be a good thing. Then after taking a deep breath, she let herself give the wand a wave and found herself the owner of a conjured sunflower. Well, that was something different. Positively better than flames…but different, causing her to smile and let out her own sigh of relief. "That...felt right." At the sight of the sunflower, Zeke positively beamed. That was a clear sign if he'd ever seen one, made clearer still by the smile on the girl's face. "I'm glad to hear it," he said. "Because that was undoubtedly a match. This wand has chosen you."
Exciting, no? So was this next part - though perhaps Zeke was a little biased. He cleared his throat, and hooked his thumbs into his waistcoat pockets. "What you have there is nine and a half inches of bendy holly, with unicorn hair at the core. This particular wood is excellent for defensive magic and healing spells, and makes for a very good wand for working with creatures. It's considered a lucky wand, and is one of those few that protect against lightning strikes." Always a positive. Or, at least, Zeke would think so, though the chances of actually being struck by lightning were... well, he didn't know. "Unicorn hair makes for a very faithful wand. Consistent and reliable too, and well suited to charms and transfigurations and, again, healing spells. Difficult to turn to the Dark Arts, and particularly in tune with subtle and delicate magic." All in all, it was a combination of wood and core that Zeke found most charming - one that was intriguing, while at the same time made a lot of sense.
But anyway. "The wand by itself is 12 galleons, plus anything else you might be interested in buying today." Zeke gestured to his price board, where the available products and their prices were listed.
_________ [9½ inch bendy holly with unicorn hair]
