She had heard of it before and it sounded like a big tome. “It got my brother right for sure. “ One big Ravenclaw bookworm certainly described her elder brother.

She turned back to her list for her next option. “One Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi by Phyllida Spore…” she read, figuring that could only be a herbology text. “Sure,” she agreed to working together on getting her books all gathered. “Two sets of eyes are better than one.” In case she missed the book somewhere. Her own dark eyes gazing along the various shelves in search of her target. “And A History of Magic by Bathilda Bagshot,” in case her companion happened upon that one along the way.

To Maria it felt like she had made a new friend and she had just talked to and helped Nadia look for books for a couple of minutes. She knew she shouldn't get ahead of herself, but it felt genuine so why not? Maria could use a new friend at Hogwarts. "Oh, you've got a brother? What is his name? I've got a brother too, but he's only 2 years old yet." Emari wasn't going to Hogwarts for another 9 years yet so there was a lot of time to guess his house.

"Ah, herbology. It's fun to learn about, and take care of plants in the greenhouses all though some plants can have tempers." Maria mused as she walked over to the herbology section to see if she could spot the book in question. She needed the third year fungi text too right? Smiling over at Nadia she nodded "Of course I'll look. If you spot a copy of Home Life and Social Habits of British Muggles by Wilhelm Wigworthy or Unfogging the Future by Cassandra Vablatsky then give me a shout." It was much more fun to look for books together with a possible new friend than browsing alone. "So, what are you most looking froward to? The classes or getting to know your new classmates or house buddies?" Maria wondered curiously.
