Damian stood, taking a moment to adjust his tie, gently tugging at his silver ankh tie clip. It wasn't like Jane to be caught daydreaming, but he wasn't going to worry yet. She didn't have any holes in her neck, and she wasn't obsessing over water.
There was a lot he wanted to say. They seem to have inadvertently been avoiding each other in the wake of their respective Atlantean adventures. It was easier to distract themselves with their work. Dang. Now he was lost in thought.
Damian sat quietly down on the bench, hoping Jane didn't catch him silently narrating their recent history to himself. "Jane.." Breaking the silence of his inner monologue, the wizard waited to hear what was on the witch's mind.
