Was it weird for Tia to be back at work? In a way, yes. She had weirdly grown accustomed to life in Atlantis and while it was now an open invitation to visit any time she liked, the young adult hadn't been back since. It just ... wouldn't feel the same. Also, while she wouldn't recommend the mernapping thing, it was almost like a sabbatical. Except it wasn't by choice.
But it would be nice to finally get to know her 'new' department head, along with any other new hires. Maybe even get her life in order. It wasn't as if she was getting any younger and she definitely hadn't missed the lack of her mother's nagging about when she was going to give her a grandchild. As if she didn't have a brother.
"OKAY, who's crup is this and where can i get one?" She cooed as she made her way over to her boss and sat down on her knees to give the cruppy some head scratches. Maybe next time her mother asked about the grandchild thing, she'd just offer her a picture of a grandcrup instead. Pastries can wait when there was creatures to play with.
