Already distracted from her moment of entry because of the display of muggle pens and notebooks, her fingers ignored her earlier promise to herself and selected three notebooks and a set of markers. Dropping them gently into her shopper's basket, she twirled herself towards the aisle of inks where she found herself greeted by a familiar profile.

Smiling to herself for now, she nimbly tiptoed over to Septimus and set her basket down as quietly as possible so as not to whack him in the face or shoulder. Biting back a grin she lifted up on to her tip toes and, in a gesture that may be entirely too friendly considering they had only recently become acquainted, slipped her slender fingers over his eyes in as he scrutinized the display. "Some would say that...memory is more indelible than ink," she hummed. "...can you remember who?"
Everlasting…regular black…self-correcting?

A decision made on the ink, Septimus had just reached up to take a bottle from a shelf in the display in his line of sight…only for his sight to suddenly vanish into darkness causing him to freeze lest he make a wrong move and cause a mess. His hand moving back down to his side. He had no desire to make the shopkeeper upset and risk being barred from such an establishment. That would not be the way to go in the grand scheme of things, especially if the potential boss ever sent him for supplies.

“Professor Vance?” he remarked in answer, randomly thinking back to any and all professors with wise words during school and for some reason the Divinations Professor had come to mind thinking on memories. Of course, he knew it wasn’t her but he was playing along with the guessing game and not giving in just yet having some clue who it might be by the choice of words. That and he couldn't think of anyone else that would do such a thing.
