He always carried that hope that Evan would come around, would return the romantic affection. Jude found out this sadly wasn’t the case when he confessed to falling in love with his best friend during the summer of 2107. His heart shattered and it felt as though all the air had been deprived from him.
Looking back at that situation a year later still hurt but at least his friendship had survived. THEIR friendship had survived.
Jude’s breath still caught whenever he looked at Evan. That’s how he knew that he would always have that special affection for the bestie.
