Indigo was certainly in no shape to defend against any spells. He wasn't even sure where his wand was. He had used it to cast Aguamenti on himself, but where had he put it after that? Had he stowed it back in his pocket? Had he left it in the Chamber of Codes when he picked up the trident? It hadn't been important. All he'd been thinking about was getting to the water. He wasn't really paying attention to the people around him either. They weren't important. The water was important. And it was right there, he was so close.

Indigo was on the edge of the fountain when the ropes from the other man's spell bound him. They bound his arms to his side and his legs together. As a consequence, though, he toppled off balance and fell face first directly into the fountain with a splash. That was fine with him; it was precisely where he wanted to be.
