Easily his least favorite class, Atlas had put zero effort into studying for his OWL on the subject and it showed. With zero aspirations to follow through to NEWT level, dad and mum (mostly dad) had insisted that he not drop the subject entirely and give into ignorance. The whole ignorance was bliss argument fell on deaf ears with the man, naturally, thus the Gryffindor counting down the days until he was of-age and argue that as a certified adult wizard...he was entitled to make his own choices.

All that being said...today Atlas was uncharacteristically very VERY very much looking forward to this morning's lesson - though it had nothing to do with the subject itself and even less to do with the professor. It did, however, have everything to do with the loud SQUAKING he heard as he approached the gathered group. He didn't even have time to recognized his petty disappointment in (apparently) this lesson being exclusive in some sort of activity with there being an age line and a (the?) Goblet of Fire right in front. Nor did he really spend much time dwelling on the correlation with their young sphinx friend and the maze before them. No, Atlas was instead casting a casual gaze over towards one of two third years he was on the look out for. His eyes drifted in search of Remy, who he had seen leaving the common room before him, and tried to relay a message with his subtle wiggle of the brow that, yes, he had taken care of things.

For one reason or another, he did not go to stand beside her and instead came to a stop beside Finn and rocked forwards on to his toes and then back on to his heels while his hands were shoved into his pockets and fidgeted with his sets of metallic matchsticks.

"So...today's lesson is only for of age students who volunteer to put their name in the Goblet and are selected by it?" he asked of Professor Holden somewhat rhetorically. Apparently not going to just let the salty disappointment slide. "The rest of us...just watch hedges the whole time?" Something he often thought about Triwizard Tournament tasks in general. Watch the surface of the lake...watch hedges...watch the mouth of a cave... real riveting stuff right there.
