Even if he hadn’t noticed the crow patronus of his new boss on the way from his rounds in the upper levels, Simon certainly heard the disturbance as he neared the atrium. The very off key Airey Flamsteed that he seemed to remember from another situation. As he rushed down the last of the stairs into the area surrounding the fountain the security officer’s gaze was already taking in the rest of the scene. Airey was there of course, as well as the MLE head. And another man, Adam he recalled, from a scene several years back in the Department of Mysteries that brought up bad memories. And finally Sophie whom he had known since they were both lions at Hogwarts.
Oh boy!
With Hugo and another working with Flamsteed and Adam being talked to, Simon opted for his friend who thankfully had stepped out of the fountain. "Hey Sophie...we really should get you dried off. He approached purposefully but slow enough he didn't startle her. Whatever was up was uncertain to him so he needed to observe before risking a negative reaction. "You'll catch a nasty cold." The security officer slipping his wand out to cast a hot air charm to handle things.
