"Scarpafors." she flicked her wand at it, repeating her earlier incantation. Then she noticed the letter opener. Was that a knife? Well, it sort of was one. "Scarpafors!" she cast at it, just in case.
No, the paper airplanes don’t fly around the room by themselves, though a levitation charm could be used for that purpose. Some other time perhaps?

Your spell practice is paying off! The pen knife transforms into a paper airplane, this one a little sleeker than the one you transfigured earlier. Good call on casting on the letter opener as well! It does indeed count as a knife. It also transforms, becoming a paper airplane nearly identical to the other one on the desk. Congratulations on finding all of the knives in the study! You’re free to move on to the next room.

There were more knives in the knife block which he only just noticed. Three to be exact. The Hufflepuff took a breath and tried to clear his brain a bit so that all his focus {or most of it anyway} could hone in on the task at hand.

“Scarpafors.’’ There was a flick of his wand at knife-in-the-block one.

“Scarpafors.’’ There was a flick of his wand at knife-in-the-block two.

“Scarpafors.’’ There was a flick of his wand at knife-in-the-block three.

Um… he could have turned all three into planes at once, couldn’t he? Jude wasn’t ready for that level of intensity as yet because he definitely wanted to practice on single knives to get a proper hang of the spell. But maybe if he had a similar opportunity again, he would take it.
Your spellwork is showing clear signs of improvement. All three of the knives in the block transform, becoming paper airplanes of varying shapes and sizes. The first one, while a tad bulky, is even on both sides. The second one is a little thinner and sleeker than the first. By the third try, you’ve managed to produce a nearly perfect paper airplane.

Farther along the kitchen counter is a butter dish with a butter knife propped against it. Care to try the spell one more time?

Norman watched from the doorway as the students went about their activity. So far, he was pleased with what he saw. There were promising signs of progress and no major mishaps or shenanigans, which, at the end of the day, was the best any Hogwarts professor could hope for.

Turning his attention away from the door momentarily, he glanced at his watch and saw that time was winding down. “Keep up the good work!” he called to the students. “We’ll move on in about ten minutes.”

OOC: You still have 24-36 HOURS left.
