Despite it being the off-season for professional Quidditch, Peggy had noticed summer always seemed especially busy in her department. Whether it was due to youth sports leagues being run, or the summer camps, or even being short staffed due to employees on holiday, she could never tell. What she did know, however, was that summer kept everybody busy, including herself.
Still, sometimes a break was necessary. In between meetings and paperwork, she'd taken to stopping by the Mutli-Purpose Room. As a result, she'd been doing a better job of keeping the snacks stocked than she had in the winter and spring. Partially because she hated going to get a snack and finding they were out, partially because restocking snacks were a welcome mental break from regular departmental business.
Today, though, she wasn't here for a snack. Instead, she was setting up a game of wizard's chess on one of the tables. It had been too long since she'd played. |
