He got to his feet and called for everyone's attention, waiting a few moments until he had it. Or at least until he had quiet.

"Good evening, everyone. I doubt it's escaped anyone's notice, but we find ourselves again at the end of another term. First and foremost, it is my great pleasure to announce that Mr Bitterwood, our rogue Board member who so kindly sent us a cursed plant, can now be found in Azkaban, having been charged after making a full confession to law enforcement officials." Do not pass go. Do not collect two hundred galleons. Child endangerment will do that to a person. "Needless to say, he will no longer have any involvement with Hogwarts, or the Board. Also, the enchantments on the school have been performed and the building all fixed up, but the castle will undergo several intensive checks over the summer to be sure everything is completely up to code."

Now then, on to regular end-of-term business. "Congratulations to Ravenclaw for winning the House Cup this year." A close race. Always fun when that happened. After pausing for applause, cheers, declarations of best behaviour until the end of time, et cetera, Kamran went on. "To those of you now leaving us for good, particularly our graduating class, good luck out there. I wish you good fortune in your future endeavours. With hard work, determination, and commitment to trying your best, I know you all have the capacity to go far. This next step you're taking is a big one, but a necessary one, and all those opportunities are out there just waiting for you to seize them. Feel free to keep in touch, and let us know how you're getting on."

Kamran paused, allowed a rare half-smile, then went on. "As to the rest of you, I look forward to seeing you all again in September. I trust you will make the most of this next two months - relax, enjoy yourselves, and breathe. OWL and NEWT results will be owled out in a couple of weeks, so put those out of your minds until then." Easier said than done for some of these students, he knew.

With that, there was only one thing left on the agenda. "Thank you, everyone. Now, enjoy your feast."

By the time Kamran was back in his seat, the food had appeared on all five tables, ready to be promptly devoured.
