Gideon sighed. Long and strained. It was bad enough that these steps moved and spat him out places he never intended to be, but now Nerina was saying that there was also prank magic built into the design. He liked Hogwarts, he reminded himself. He was here for a reason.

"Besides snooping, what are you doing up here?" The fifth year didn't want to talk about the steps anymore. They would continue to plague him and he needed to learn to move past it, otherwise he would spend many an afternoon upset.
