With the puke out, Brody felt only slightly better. His head was still spinning though. Through all the chaos on his end, he heard all the hullabaloo emitting from below. Clearly somebody was not doing a splendid job of helping him here. Then without any notice, the Coordinator was deposited onto the floor. At least he hadn’t been unceremoniously dropped from a great height.
He laid there on his back with his hands pressed over his eyes in an attempt to stop the room from spinning. Cue him wincing though because Conley was shouting. Honestly. Did he have to do that now? Quite truthfully, Brody was afraid to open his mouth again should he barf again. The fact that he could smell the contents of his stomach in the room did not help. The young man removed his hands and slowly opened his eyes. It wasn’t that bad. At least the room looked stable. “Does this qualify as an extenuating circumstance for me to take the day off?” he asked, ignoring all other questions and the shouting. |
