The older boy (Jude) was real nice, but Aiden was still scared. He held his teddy a little tighter and tried to make words.
"I-I-Im not h-hungry," he managed to stutter out. "My tummy hurts."
Hurts wasn't the right word really, cause it wasn't the 'ow' kinda hurty but the kinda thing where you might feel like you're gonna be sick or like there's elephants walking around all in your insides but Aiden didn't really know how to explain what that all felt like so he just said HURTS.
He wasn't the only one talking to the boy though. There were boys and girls talking all around as far as the eyes could see and the ears could hear and Aiden still didn't know what to say to any of them. |
