Excuse you, V, it was actually quite a bit of juice. Alfie thanked Serena for the handkerchief but soon grew visibly concerned, especially after she had stormed off. Was she ok? Something seemed a bit off. After wiping the juice off his face, he stuffed the handkerchief in his pocket, making a mental note to check up on her when giving it back to her.

He agreed to V's suggestion, not only because he was concerned about Serena, but also to move the conversation on from the book. He nodded in silent agreement at her other suggestion too, and waved Lisa goodbye. |
