For sizes specifically, I've copied and pasted the most relevant information. Be sure to read the thread in full for a thorough understanding of how signatures work here on SS.

- No bigger than 200 pixels in height
- No heavier than 60kb (61,444 bytes). If you’re using multiple images in one siggy, the kbs of ALL the images together cannot exceed 60kb (61,444 bytes). For one big image, the weight requirement of the image stands the same
- You can have up to THREE separate images that, together, form one siggy
- If you want to use smilies, the maximum number of smilies you can use is 6. They don’t count as file size/weight but they do count towards the height of your siggy
- Blank spaces/lines in between or before images/text do add up to your total pixel height. Their exact value is the same as the size of the text/code used to format your siggy (look below for more info)
