Pendgraon’s spell lit up the room like a noon-day sun on the solstice. The bats shrieked and then took off out of the room and down the corridor seeing a way out and away from the light. Anyone coming down the corridor would meet a second onslaught of bats.
Was that a cracking overhead? Yes, yes it was. These hidden passageways and rooms were old and hadn’t been maintained over the years. The crack turned into a rumble and the beam came down with a loud crash.
As the dust settled, it became clear that rubble blocked the entrance. Pendragon’s spell had literally brought down the house effectively locking the men inside the lair.
