The room was suddenly blinding and Conley was forced to cover his eyes with his hand as he waited for his eyes to adjust. Even then, it was still hard on his old eyes. As he blinked and lowered his hand things came into focus. The pool table, the kitchen... and- "Jane!" he called out.
There was no response. "Jane!?" he called again, as he hurried over and gave her shoulder a soft shake. She looked pale... "Jane?" he gave her a slightly harder shake on the shoulder. Despite being pale, he wasn't really sure what was wrong with her. Keeping one hand on her shoulder, as if hoping it might comfort her or get the older woman to wake up, he closed his eyes. A moment later he was pointing his wand over his head, "Expecto patronum!" Out of the tip of his poplar wand, a silvery Husky so big it could easily be mistaken as a wolf appeared. It looked at Conley for a moment and then shot off down the hall with a silent bark. "Don't worry Jane. Help is on the way..."
