| astronomizzle ♧ gryffinDORK | & the rest is drag ♣ #badluckDerf Now was not the time to be making jokes, and he wasn't entirely meaning to make one either, but when a thought appeared in Atlas' mind it was always a bit of Russian Roulette as to whether or not it can spilling out of his mouth.
Right now was one of those times.
"If the war didn't take dad out, we're probably good for no explosions over telescopes," he nodded thoughtfully and with a casualness to his tone as if he were simply stating a fact from the encyclopedia. It wasn't cruel if the telescope's sole purpose left was to be utilized in this way. Surely even dad could see that. Or else Uncle Andrei of mum would melt them down for parts and such with their metal charming. "Yup," Atlas nodded in agreement to his brother with the man who had surely stuck a fork in an electric socket like he had done around the age of 4 as an experiment on conductivity or at the very least worn fuzzy socks and then rubbed them all over a carpet and touched a metal door knob spoke to them. "Sometimes even to our own detriment."
But, back to the task at hand.
Explosions and pyromantics were practically in the Flamsteed twins' DNA and it was a talent that Atlas was glad to share with his brother. Though he would point out that his, Atlas', Bombardas were more proficient. He HAD, after all, blown up that door during the battle in the spare office...that had then lead to no where but more places to hide. But he had still managed it in the moment of need. Reliable kabooms.
"I like that thought," he nodded as he grabbed for a couple of wands and examined them. It looked like there may still be some remnants of cores in a few of them, though obviously damaged. "It will be fascinating to see the way that all these magical elements and combustibles combine." Then, without even thinking about it, he pocketed a pair of wands and then moved on to selecting a crystal ball with a pleasant violet sheen to it.
