She had to examine the label, too, to check the rules herself. “Oh… my… gosh… you’re the BEST, you remembered, and they sound perfect. Who’s shall we try first, Flobberworm?” Atlas Flobberworm, hahaha. Thankfully she hadn’t made fun of his full name out loud, because knowing him he’d find something offensive about that, but Remy was totally oblivious to that fact as always.
She stuck out her tongue to match his funny face. Her face would stay in this expression forever if she carried on like this!
Remy was… disappointed… and a little perplexed at his answer to her very simple question. Why did Atlas have to be so extra? “I know, how about we draw ice creams.” Just throwing the answer that she was looking for out there. “Although… Fizzing Whizbees… YUM!” And now she wanted to eat something. Being at a festival required filling your tummies.
By this point, she had gathered more crafts to decorate their tote bags, including lots and lots of glitter. She had already slowly started to spread some of it onto her bag, before looking over at Atlas to make sure he was working at the same time. He could copy her, if he wanted.
It wasn't that Atlas kept Remy around because she said such honest and truthful things about how innately amazing he was...but it certainly was a perk to their friendship. One that had his lips curling and parting into a toothy kind of grin. The best. Yes, thank you for noticing. The affirmation and reassurance was infallible. He totally missed, at first, that she was calling him a flobberworm - too busy basking in his self proclaimed glory for remembering to carry around muggle rot your teeth sour candy - but when he did climbed down from the mountain a little, he was all laughter.
"Oi," he chuckled while nudging her with his elbow before pulling the goods out of his bag. "It's called Toxic Waste. Like, you know, any unwanted material in all forms that can cause harm. So think of the sour component as something corrosive." Pretty awesome branding too. Hopefully dad would not notice that it had gone missing. Hey, a boy could dream that his dad - who literally could not focus on anything if even one of his perfectly sharpened pencils was not aligned in perfect parallel position to the rest - would just so happen to notice that a couple of containers had been plucked from the honeycomb arrangement in the tin.
And there she went with that tongue thing again and him staring at it. He found himself wondering if she had ever had an Acid Pop and then burned a hole into it (it was only the natural progression of thoughts from corrosive material to tongues to things that cause corrosion in tongues). Also, for some peculiar reason, he wondered if she would ever get her tongue pierced since she liked to show it off so much. Maybe her patronus, if she could ever produce one, would be some sort of dog. They liked to stick their tongues out too. In any case, he was staring at her tongue for an unnaturally long time once again...but his fascination with the muscular organ did not cause him to miss the shift in tone based on his response to her querry.
Why did he have to be so extra? Was that not in the definition of being a Gryffindor? And a Flamsteed Gryffindor at that.
His own lips forming a pout (he hated getting the answer wrong and he clearly had despite his thoroughness), he nodded nonetheless at her suggestion. "Ice cream sounds good. I'm gonna make mine three scoops in a bowl." He was not particularly fond of cones since they got all soggy and could leak all over, causing messes. He could never eat ice cream fast enough to avoid this (brain freezes came too easily to him) and eating ice cream out of order or LiCkiNg tHe SiDeS of the cone to lap up the melted bits was just...so unappealing to him. He did not need his cones soggy from his own saliva anymore than he needed it soggy from melted cream and sugar.
Situated beside her, Atlas was currently attempting to fashion himself a compass with the supplies present so that he could make three perfect circles on his bag with one of the pencils he had produced from his bag. He had to sketch a blueprint first, after all. The sight of all the glitter Remy had gathered was both horrifying and gratifying. "You're going to share all that glitter, right?"
This was going to drive dad craaaaaaaaazy.
