She absolutely hadn’t intended on being fashionably late, but things had conspired against her. Her cross-cultivation lecture had gone long, and it had put Carys behind when it came to everything else. In fact, she had nearly chosen to just come dressed in her usual clothes, however dirt stained they were, but she’d known better. She’d known she would have gotten a lecture from her sister later on, if Carsyn had heard about it, and it was awkward enough arriving alone. For no reason other than she hadn’t wanted to bother Eron or anyone else, even if it meant she’d feel rather like an outsider.

At the very least, she certainly felt like possibly one of the youngest people at the banquet, as she quickly retrieved her place card and found her seat at one of the tables, smoothing out her skirts as she took a seat. Not that she wasn’t used to the feeling by now, in the Quidditch world at least.
