Not for herself, but for Calyx who looked as though he wanted to eat every muffin on display. As they stood there, waiting for muffins, she took the opportunity to adjust his collar.

And now that they were standing still, Nina finally had the opportunity to look around. "Calyx, Alessandro and Gunnar are here," she nudged him, knowing he'd want to speak to Alessandro - Nina wouldn't mind catching up with Gunnar either. It had been ages and she always did appreciate his calm presence. And on the topic of catching up, was Calloway here yet? It would be alarming if he chose to skip out on an event centered around food.

Also alarming? The way the man next to them (Theodore) looked after having taken a bite of that muffin. Unfortunately, Nina's brief, judgemental look could not be helped, but she did quickly recover, offering him a practiced smile. "Which muffin did you choose?" Because Nina wouldn't be taking the same one.
Really, this was GREAT! Calyx didn't stop to consider flavours, instead he took the muffin that was the closest and immediately bit into it, doing his best to keep his mouth closed while he was chewing even though he was smiling at the same time. Hehe. This muffin tasted GOOD. Blueberry, definitely. Officially his favourite.... at least until he had a different flavour and that one tasted good too. He continued munching while Nina adjusted his collar and then when she pointed them out he looked over, spotting Gunnar and Al, and immediately waving at them with great enthusiasm with his non-muffin occupied hand.

Which wouldn't DO! Calyx took a second muffin, one that looked different from the one he was currently half way into, and continued munching happily.

He WANTED to say thank you to the nice Department Head lady who was wrangling the muffins, but Calyx also didn't want to talk with his mouth full, so he instead gave her a thumbs up. Two thumbs up, with his hands full of muffin.

He swallowed a mouthful of muffin just in time for Calloway's arrival, perking up immediately when he was actually INCLUDED in the former Slytherin's greeting. However, before he could get a 'hi Cal' out in response, he noticed what the other man was munching on and Calyx's brain cheerfully short circuited. "Hi....bacon!" Bacon would go amazing with muffin! "Nina! He's got bacon. Hi Calloway, where's the bacon?" Oh, oh and now that his mouth was temporarily not full, he looked at Peggy and said what he had meant to a moment ago, "Thank you, ma'am!"

Aaaaand.... he'd forgotten about getting a nametag again. Hehe.

Clock the dark glasses. Stella hadn't actually been home yet from the night before though at least it hadn't been the kind of night where she had dressed in a way that would seem overly out of place now , and she'd made the effort to freshen up of course. Jeans and a t-shirt were always safe, especially for breakfast.

Speaking of.... a smoothie first, and then maybe some socialising of the work variety.
