For a little while more, he was going to have to take it easy. How long that would actually last was to be determined.
Frankie smiled when she mentioned the past and how him nearly dying for the first time as an Auror is what prompted him to ask her to marry him a lot sooner than he originally had planned. "Very true. And look at what good came of that." A happy marriage, three kids, cruppies. Surely something good would come from all of this too.
Did she need to be jealous of the healers who had taken to him? No, definitely not. He did ask her to marry him, dramatics and all as to be expected. Nevertheless, that wasn't going to stop him from teasing. "Depends. Will you be offering me pudding more than they do?" An eyebrow rose, followed by his trademark smirk.
Still being able to make Hady laugh like that after all these years was the cherry on top. As childish as he was sometimes all the time, this was always the result he wanted: laughter, smiles, good times. "Why am I not surprised?" Their children seemed to have taken on more traits of his than he had expected, which was equally adorable and terrifying at the same time. Seeing the smile on her husbands face only made her smile as well. "Umm, well I know you aren't talking about how much our families wanted to have our heads on a platter for not telling them of our marriage or for us not have a big traditional wedding." There wasn't an ounce in her body that she regretted what they had done but she knew their families didn't like that they had run off and gotten married without anyone's knowledge at the time. Frankie was right though, all these years later and they were still happily married with their four kiddos and lots of creatures to love.
Hadleigh smirked at him knowing exactly what game he was playing and she was going to play it right back. "Oh, I might.. but see.. that all depends. Will you be listening to me as well as you listened to all of the Healers here?" They both knew just how much rest he had gotten over the last several days. The true question now was, if he was going to continue to get any rest once he was at home.
The way he could make her laugh soothed her soul. Their bond was something special. Unbreakable. "Neither am I but do keep in mind she's still only four." Hady laughed.
