| two blondes and an ickle. Feel free to snag Shoe!Girl │ Rebel Ravie │ Confundus Queen │ RP Addict Just the very fact that the Ministry was doing something as casual as a breakfast to welcome everyone back seemed to say that things were much better than they had been the previous year. Possibly more than just the previous year, but this felt especially notable. Not to mention the absolutely welcome appearance of the old and much-loved Fountain of Magical Brethren she saw upon arrival. Dylan had even brought a plus-one: her five year old daughter. Ari had begged her to let her come, and she hadn’t had the heart to deny her. Even if it felt a little like she was excluding the twins, but the boys were young enough they probably wouldn’t be too disappointed. Besides, this basically was like a girls day. A girls day that included all her coworkers and superiors, but that was beside the point.
It was nice not having to dress up quite as much, too. She had tried to stay professional (even if she’d let Ari pick out whatever she had wanted to wear) in the red sweater and black jeans, but it was still much more comfortable than the formal dresses of previous years. Plus, less concern over breakfast foods staining said formalwear. ------ In a weird way, this felt more like a first day than last year’s orientation did. Although, it also felt like she had gone through way more than she had expected. Considering the showdown with Dante and Sian and everything else that had happened regarding the cult’s infiltration. Skye knew that was exactly what it had been, even without her dad having told her it had been during the break. Because he absolutely had done so, and her brother had joined in as well. She was rather tired of the lectures about how she’d been kind of reckless, even if she’d known she hadn’t been.
Either way, nobody had expressed any disapproval over the cable sweater and jeans she had chosen to wear when she’d left to head to the Ministry. Plus, there were plenty of people who seemed like they had chosen similar outfits, as she had noticed upon arrival in the atrium. Nobody could feel bad when there were waffles in the mix. Or pancakes. Or muffins. All that remained was for the twenty year old to decide which looked the most tempting.
